Stellar Blade is a visually striking action game with a parry-focused combat system. It is no longer PS5-exclusive: a PC version released in June 2025.
Combat: Parry-Centered Precision
The parry system is central to Stellar Blade's combat — enemy attacks flash a color that tells you the counter. Guides describe yellow as dodge-only, red as a fast attack to parry, blue as a grab (dodge or Blink) and purple as a boss attack to dodge or Repulse; sources differ on blue and purple, so check the in-game prompts. Perfect Parry reduces enemy posture and builds Beta Energy, and skills such as Counter I and II follow a successful parry.
Gameplay and World
The post-apocalyptic Earth environments include Xion, Eidos 7, the Great Desert and the Levoire research facilities. Exploration rewards skill points, outfits, and lore records. The Drone is a targeting and aerial survey tool.
Story and Characters
Eve is a soldier who becomes a protector of Xion. Adam, who is later revealed to be the Elder Naytiba, and Lily, a survivor of the 5th Airborne Squad, are companions in the story (Wikipedia).
Platforms
Stellar Blade released on PS5, and a PC version followed in June 2025.
