Cyberpunk 2077 is a single-player, first-person action role-playing game from CD Projekt Red, set in the open-world metropolis of Night City. It first released on 10 December 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions followed on 15 February 2022, a Switch 2 version (Ultimate Edition) on 5 June 2025 and a macOS version on 17 July 2025 (per Wikipedia). The launch on PS4 and Xbox One was widely criticised, and the game was later reworked through patches.
You play V, a mercenary. Your Lifepath (Nomad, Street Kid or Corpo) sets V's background, starting location and prologue and adds dialogue options, but does not give gameplay advantages. The story centres on V sharing a body with an engram of the rockerboy Johnny Silverhand. Wikipedia describes three possible outcomes for the final act, and the Phantom Liberty expansion adds endings of its own.
Update 2.0 arrived in September 2023, days before the paid Phantom Liberty expansion, and overhauled core RPG systems. Phantom Liberty stars Idris Elba as Solomon Reed, adds the Dogtown district and introduces the Relic attribute. The game sold over 40 million copies as of July 2026 (Wikipedia).
Body (Solo), Reflexes (Shinobi), Cool (Headhunter), Technical Ability (Engineer) and Intelligence (Netrunner) each carry a skill that levels up through related activities (per Fextralife).

Ripperdocs sell implants such as Mantis Blades, which add a leap, melee damage and a chance to inflict Bleed (per Fextralife), and Sandevistan, which gives +40% crit chance and removes the stamina cost of movement while active (Fextralife).
