Every month we spotlight the tips our community voted most useful. These 10 earned the most upvotes — real strategies from players who beat the boss, found the build, or broke the game.
Triple Slash (Cloud's unique ability) is the highest DPS move in the game for physical build Cloud. Pair it with Tifa's True Strike for a party DPS combination that shreds boss stagger gauges.
Focus on one damage type per run. Mixing boon families (like Poseidon + Ares) without Duo boons splits your scaling. Pick one Olympian, go deep, and find their Legendary boon.
Drive Parry (hold MP+MK) recovers chip damage and builds meter. During blockstrings, activate it when the opponent commits to a long pressure sequence — it's your safest resource-positive defensive option.
Read every notice board. They trigger contracts and quests nearby — missing notice boards means missing significant content, including some of the best quests.
Sonya Kameo is the best beginner Kameo — her ring toss extends virtually every character's BnB combo without needing tight timing. Start with her while learning the main roster.
Level Endurance first. Enough Endurance for medium roll (under 25% equip load) is non-negotiable — fat rolling (50%+ equip) makes every fight significantly harder.
Breeding magical creatures in the Vivarium yields rare materials (Shrivelfig Fruit, Jobberknoll Feathers) that enable the highest-tier gear upgrades at the loom. Keep at least one breeding pair of each creature.
The deflect window in Wo Long is generous by Sekiro standards but unforgiving by regular action game standards. Focus on deflecting normal attacks first — they have longer telegraphs than Fatal Strikes and will train your timing.
The Death Defiance keepsake from Skelly allows a free revive. This is your best general-purpose keepsake for learning the game — the extra life covers mistakes while you learn biomes.
Don't buy the map until you've died at least once in a new area. Cornifer the cartographer sells it cheap once you find him — exploring without a map first builds spatial understanding.
