Street Fighter 6 is the greatest entry in the franchise — a mechanically revolutionary game with the genre's best singleplayer mode and the most welcoming competitive onboarding ever designed.
Combat: Five Systems, Infinite Depth
The Drive System's five mechanics interact with each other and with every character's unique toolkit in ways that took the competitive community months to fully map. Drive Impact is a high-reward armor attack that breaks opponent Drive Parry and can be countered by Drive Impact. Drive Rush from normals (canceling a move into a forward dash) creates frame advantages that enable otherwise impossible offense. Drive Parry recovers chip damage and builds meter. The system rewards resource management without removing traditional footsie fundamentals.
Gameplay and Modes
World Tour is an unprecedented genre achievement — 30+ hours of content where your created character learns every SF character's moves through an RPG leveling system. It teaches fundamentals organically by forcing you to use techniques in actual fights. The Battle Hub's social lobby provides casual play without ranked pressure. Ranked matchmaking is fair and educational with strong replay support.
Story and Characters
World Tour's story is fun and engaging for the genre. The new characters (Luke, Kimberly, Marisa, Lily, Jamie, Manon, JP) are all excellently designed additions to the franchise. The returning characters (Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Cammy, Ken, Zangief, Dhalsim, Blanka, Dee Jay, E. Honda, Juri, Rashid) have updated movesets that reflect modern SF design philosophy.
