🗺️ Main Story Walkthrough

Tick off each step as you go — your progress saves locally, no account needed.

Step 1 of 8
Prologue: Grand Cathedral and the Royal Curse

The game opens in the royal capital of Grand Trad, where the king has been struck by a mysterious curse that will kill him unless broken. You play as a young Elda outcast traveling with the fairy Gallica. Complete the Grand Cathedral sequence, collect the early tutorial Archetypes (Seeker and Mage), and learn the overworld combat system where you can stun weak enemies before the turn-based phase begins. Do not skip the tutorial pop-ups—the Archetype synthesis mechanics are introduced here and are essential throughout.

Step 2 of 8
Month 1: Martira and the Huntress

Travel to the town of Martira aboard the Gauntlet Runner, your mobile home base for the entire journey. Here you recruit the knight Hulkenberg, unlocking the Knight Archetype tree. Spend your limited early days exploring Martira—stock up at Stairstone Market, talk to every Follower candidate, and investigate the Foul Imp infestation in the sewers. Completing the early side quests before the month deadline rewards extra EXP and rare Reeve Stones used to upgrade Archetypes. Your first deadline is attending the tournament announcement in Grand Trad.

Step 3 of 8
Month 2: Virga Island and the Ancestral Solution

The main quest directs you to Virga Island to seek the Ancestral Solution, a cure component for the royal curse. This region introduces tougher enemy groups; build out your Mage or Healer Archetype on Gallica to handle elemental resistances. Complete the side quest "Save the Mourning Snakes" before the region deadline for a powerful accessory. The dungeon here, the Virga Cave, has multiple branching paths—explore fully before the boss chamber to find a Strohl Follower event that boosts his bond rank.

Step 4 of 8
Month 3: Brilehaven and the Coliseum

Brilehaven houses the Grand Coliseum, where you must participate in ranked battles to earn popularity votes and advance in the election to break the royal curse. Fight through Ranked Battles in strict order; you cannot skip brackets. Between fights, spend evenings at the Tavern to raise Wisdom and bond with Strohl or Hulkenberg. The Brilehaven dungeon introduces elemental puzzle rooms—bring a balanced Archetype spread of Warrior, Mage, and Healer. Defeating the Coliseum champion unlocks a powerful new Archetype for Strohl.

Step 5 of 8
Month 4: Altabury and the Underground Labyrinth

Altabury is a city of scholars built atop massive ruins. The story dungeon here, the Altabury Underground Labyrinth, is the longest to this point and features trap-heavy corridors—keep your HP high before each new floor to avoid being caught off-guard. Bond with the Scholar Follower in town to unlock the Mage Archetype upgrade path before entering. Collecting the Archetype scrolls on dungeon floors B2 and B3 unlocks Faker and Brawler classes that significantly boost party versatility for the rest of the game.

Step 6 of 8
Month 5–6: Dragon Temple and Louis Confrontation

The Dragon Temple is the game's most expansive dungeon, spanning multiple tiers with environmental puzzles and elite random encounters. Equip Strike and Slash weapons before entering, as many late-temple enemies resist Fire and Ice. Midway through, Louis—your primary political rival and antagonist—confronts the party directly in a scripted encounter that foreshadows his true power. Use the days leading up to this segment to max out at least two Follower bonds for passive combat bonuses, particularly Hulkenberg's bond for the Knight passive that halves frost damage.

Step 7 of 8
Endgame: The Final Election and Castle Luxia

The story converges on Castle Luxia, the seat of the royal throne. The final dungeon is a multi-floor castle with elite guarded gates requiring all Royal Virtue stats at high levels—ensure Wisdom, Courage, Eloquence, Tolerance, and Imagination are all near maximum before proceeding. Multiple branching doors hold optional super-bosses that drop the best accessories in the game. The penultimate confrontation with More takes place on the castle's uppermost spire; stock at least 10 revival items and full Elixir supplies before the final ascent.

Step 8 of 8
True Ending: Defeating Destroyer Charadrius

The final battle against Louis's transformation—Destroyer Charadrius—unfolds in three consecutive phases across the Mask of Joy, the Mask of Mirth, and the Mask of Ire. There is no rest point between phases, so enter with full HP and all buffs active. Charadrius can absorb "puppets" to heal and empower itself; prioritize destroying any summoned puppet units before they are consumed. A high-rank Seeker Archetype on the protagonist is the strongest option, as it provides the unique "Grand" skills that bypass most resistances. Winning unlocks the True Ending and the credits.

⚔️ Boss Guides

⚔️

Homo Avades

Weakness
Strike and Slash; weak to physical, resists all elements
Recommended Gear
Warrior or Knight Archetype for physical output; Healer sub-role; bring Antidotes for its poison

Attack Patterns

Homo Avades is a large humanoid machine-type enemy encountered in the early dungeons. It delivers powerful sweeping claw strikes that hit all front-row party members and can inflict Poison with a targeted bite. When its HP drops below 50%, it enters a frenzied state, increasing attack speed and adding a multi-hit combo that hits random party members twice per turn.

Strategy

Exploit its Strike and Slash weakness with a Warrior wielding a sword or axe-type Archetype weapon. Keep a Healer ready each round to cleanse Poison, which deals percentage-based damage and will drain the party quickly if left unchecked. Use Warrior skills like "Power Slash" for consistent damage and avoid casting any elemental magic, as it resists Fire, Ice, and Wind. Target the body directly—there are no exploit-able sub-parts—and finish with a Follow-Up chain attack from Strohl if his bond is at rank 3 or higher.

⚔️

Zorba (Melancholia Zorba)

Weakness
No elemental weakness; physical Strike is most effective
Recommended Gear
Strike-focused Archetype (Brawler or Warrior); Debuff accessories; bring Bead of Life items

Attack Patterns

Zorba is a necromancer boss and one of Louis's lieutenants. He opens every other turn by raising defeated party members or previously slain allies as skeleton companions that absorb hits. His direct attacks include a wide-range dark-energy wave that can inflict Curse status, and a single-target "Soul Drain" that steals HP and transfers it to Zorba. He resists Fire, Ice, Electric, and Wind, making elemental builds nearly useless.

Strategy

Prioritize eliminating any raised skeleton adds immediately on the turn they appear—they have low HP but shield Zorba from AoE attacks. Use Brawler or Warrior physical skills exclusively; the Brawler's "Heavy Strike" bypasses his magical defense. Apply the Debilitate debuff skill to lower Zorba's attack and magic power, then maintain steady physical pressure. The Curse ailment he inflicts triples MP costs, so if a party member is Cursed, have Gallica use "Amrita" or burn a Bead of Life to cleanse it before spending MP on support skills. With consistent physical pressure and add control, the fight resolves in 8–10 rounds.

⚔️

Rella and Sogne the Icebound

Weakness
Rella's dragon (Sogne) is weak to Fire; Rella herself resists elemental magic
Recommended Gear
Mage with Fire skills (Agilao or Maragion); Knight to tank Sogne's breath; Ice Resistance accessories

Attack Patterns

Rella fights alongside her ice dragon Sogne. Rella herself uses "Quartz Wall" to block all elemental damage directed at Sogne, requiring you to break the barrier first. Sogne performs Blizzard Breath that hits all party members and can inflict Freeze, and uses a Tail Swipe that deals heavy single-target physical damage to the front row. Rella can also sacrifice her HP to revive Sogne at partial health if it is defeated before Rella is downed.

Strategy

The fight has two de facto phases. First, focus on Rella: deal physical or Pierce damage to her to force her off balance and prevent "Quartz Wall" from being cast. Once Rella is near half HP, shift attacks to Sogne and spam Fire magic—Agilao from a Mage deals triple damage. Equip Ice Resistance accessories on all party members to reduce Blizzard Breath damage. Keep a Knight in front-guard stance to intercept the Tail Swipe. If Rella sacrifices herself, dispatch Sogne quickly with massed Fire spells before it regains full momentum. Gallica's "Herculean Aid" can boost the party's Fire damage by 50% for two turns—use it once Quartz Wall is down.

⚔️

Louis (Mid-Game Encounter)

Weakness
No weakness; exploits your party's weaknesses with elemental sword imbues
Recommended Gear
Balanced party covering all elements; Debuff skills; high Evasion builds

Attack Patterns

Louis is an exceptionally dangerous scripted encounter mid-story. He reads the party's elemental affinities and imbues his blade with the element that a random party member is weak to, granting him a free extra turn whenever that character is hit. He applies heavy Attack and Defense Down debuffs at the start of battle, and his "Sovereign Strike" deals massive physical damage to the entire party each third turn regardless of positioning.

Strategy

Eliminate debuffs immediately with a Healer using "Mediarama" or an Elixir; fighting Louis while debuffed drastically extends the fight. Spread your Archetypes so no two characters share the same elemental weakness, reducing the odds of Louis gaining free turns. Use a Seeker to apply your own Attack Down on Louis each turn, halving his damage output. The Faker Archetype's "Mirage" skill can cause Louis to waste his imbued attack on a decoy. Stay aggressive with physical skills—Louis has no physical resistance—and accept that this fight requires attrition; do not expect to end it quickly.

⚔️

More (Penultimate Boss)

Weakness
Slash; resistant to all magic
Recommended Gear
Protagonist solo (scripted duel); Seeker Archetype at max rank; bring 5 or more Bead of Life

Attack Patterns

More is a one-on-one scripted duel against the protagonist. He uses defensive Support skills every other turn to stack Endure (survives one hit at 1 HP) and applies a stacking Defense Up buff. His offensive toolkit includes a high-power single-target slash, a "Shining Burst" magic attack that ignores magic resistance, and a Dispel move that removes all protagonist buffs at the start of his third action each cycle.

Strategy

This is a solo fight so only the protagonist's Archetype matters—Seeker at max rank with inherited Slash skills is optimal. Watch for More's Endure buff and time a fast hitting multi-hit skill like "Myriad Slashes" to break through it in a single turn; single large hits waste a turn against Endure. When he casts Defense Up, immediately follow with "Rakunda" to cancel the buff before committing to a damage rotation. Keep one Bead of Life in reserve for the "Shining Burst" spike, which can one-shot a low-HP protagonist. Once More's HP is below 25%, he stops using Endure and attacks each turn, giving you a straightforward damage window to end the fight.

⚔️

Destroyer Charadrius (Final Boss)

Weakness
Varies by phase mask; Mask of Mirth is weak to Pierce; overall resists most elements in phase 3
Recommended Gear
Max-rank Seeker; Healer with Mediarahan; 10+ revival items; all Royal Virtue buffs active

Attack Patterns

Destroyer Charadrius is the final boss fought in three consecutive phases. The Mask of Joy uses wide-area magic attacks and summons "Puppet" minions that Charadrius can consume to recover HP and boost its stats. The Mask of Mirth focuses on single-target Pierce attacks and a party-wide "Grand Blaze" that inflicts Burn on all members. The Mask of Ire is the most dangerous phase, using multi-hit all-target attacks, a full-party Debilitate, and a "Dimensional Cleave" skill that deals fixed damage bypassing all defenses.

Strategy

There are no save points between phases, so resource management is critical. In phase one, destroy Puppet minions the instant they spawn—each one consumed heals Charadrius for 15% max HP. In phase two, exploit the Mask of Mirth's Pierce weakness with a Seeker using "Thrice-Piercing Arrow"; two hits of this skill will break the mask. In phase three, use all available stat buffs (Tarukaja, Rakukaja) at the start of each round, as Charadrius's Debilitate will erase them—reapply immediately. Save "Grand" Archetype skills for the final 20% HP threshold when Charadrius enters berserk mode. Finish with the story-locked protagonist skill unlocked during the final cutscene interaction.
